Why should you choose Geek Electricians?
Under the leadership of co-owner Douglas Davila, who brings over ten years of experience in the electrical and construction fields, we ensure personalized supervision for each project. Recognizing the value of your home, we prioritize meticulous workmanship over shortcuts. Opt for our seasoned, professional team to guarantee superior outcomes, executed with the utmost care and efficiency.
Why do you charge for a quote?
We charge a nominal fee later deducted from the final service cost to safeguard against customers who may misuse our services without intending to proceed with the service. Since all our electricians are licensed contractors, ensuring they are dispatched to genuine customers with legitimate issues is important. This fee covers the cost of an electrician troubleshooting the problem and providing an upfront repair price. As we are compensated for our visit, we prioritize genuine repairs over unnecessary ones, unlike some companies that justify their high prices with such practices. If you require a quick estimate for your electrical issue, please contact us for a complimentary rough cost estimate over the phone, email, or our contact form page.
Do you offer price matching with competitors?
In most cases, yes, we do. To match a competitor's price, we request that all competitive quotes be submitted in writing on official company documents. Verbal or handwritten quotes on scratch paper are not accepted. Furthermore, competitive quotes must be for identical products and installations.
Why is my credit card information required when booking?
We use this information solely to secure your booking; no charges will be made until the work is completed.
What is your cancellation policy?
To adjust or cancel a confirmed booking, we kindly ask for 24 hours' notice. Otherwise, a late cancellation fee of $75 will apply.
Do you have any tips for optimizing my booking?
Supplying photos and videos of the task can be highly useful. It helps us accurately assess the time, tools, and materials needed to complete the job efficiently.
Do I need to supply my own materials?
Providing your materials can streamline the process and save you both time and money. However, if you prefer, we're happy to source the materials for you, with a 25% mark-up applied (plus sales tax).
Are parts and labor covered by warranty?
All labor is warranted for life, and parts supplied by Geek Electricians (excluding bulbs) are warranted for one year unless specified otherwise by the manufacturer.
Can I expect punctuality from your technician?
Understanding the unpredictable nature of navigating Los Angeles traffic, we schedule a one-hour arrival window. In the event of delays beyond our control, our team will notify you in advance. This flexibility is in place to ensure we consistently meet the expectations of our valued customers.
What happens once the job is finished?
Upon completion, the technician will provide you with an invoice detailing the tasks completed and associated charges. If you are satisfied with the work, you will sign the invoice, and our technician will proceed with processing your payment. Subsequently, you will receive a receipt via email for your records.
What if I'm dissatisfied with the completed work?
While it's uncommon, if you're not satisfied, simply give us a call to discuss the issue. We're committed to resolving any concerns and ensuring your confidence in choosing us for future projects.
